Why I Love Phoenixville
My name is Scott Furman, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Classic. In this blog, I am going to discuss a few reasons why I feel Phoenixville Borough is one of the best places to call home. First, I have been lucky enough to perform a great deal of business in Phoenixville Borough over the past few decades, and I must say – it has become one of my favorite areas to both market homes for sale and show homes to prospective buyers. Secondly, I have fun in this town … there is just something about the downtown hip vibe that makes me feel like I’m in my 20’s again! It bestows a great trending atmosphere that offers something for everyone. Most importantly, just on the main strip alone, you will find an array of locally owned and operated businesses including, but not limited to:
- Craft breweries/pubs
- Sports bars
- Cultural restaurants
- Clothing Boutiques
- Community Eco Store – all volunteer boutique for eco-friendly lifestyles
- Gift Shops
- Bistros/Bakeries/Cafes/Coffee houses
- Endless entertainment
What a great feeling it is to shop and dine in your own community and patronize businesses in your own hometown!
Try Out Phoenixville’s Open-Air Event
Moreover, one of my favorite finds is Phoenixville’s Inside Out Open-Air Dining Experience. This happens every Friday from 4pm to 11pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from 7am to 11 pm during the months of late May through early October. This event features many of Phoenixville’s most popular restaurants/eateries and breweries along with live entertainment and music. In other words, this is a must experience event. Put it on your list of things to check out this Summer!

Phoenixville Homes and Communities
Another reason why I love Phoenixville is that it provides tons of affordable and very charming neighborhoods with traditional housing situated in close knit, friendly communities. I just sold the most unique and endearing cottage-style home on Anderson Ave that vetted over $100,000 over asking. Talk about a desirable area! Furthermore, from helping citizens in Phoenixville, I have also gotten to know many people at the Borough office. I have never seen a more dedicated and loyal group of municipal workers that are truly proud of what they have accomplished within the borough. Phoenixville has truly risen to one of the most desirable places to live in Chester County … and they deserve that honor.

Phoenixville is a leader in renewable energy
Besides all the reasons I provided above, I also just recently found out that Phoenixville is planning to install 50 EV charging stations by the end of 2023! Most importantly, they are one of the first municipalities in the state to commit to 100% renewable energy by 2035 and have been taking great strides having their municipal buildings running on alternative energy. Wouldn’t it be nice to know that your municipality is using its resources to make your neighborhood a cleaner place to live? Along with this, they just installed 16 EV charging stations and plan to have 50 installed by the end of 2023.
